You are off by 5 million. Also the total of going from about 50 million without insurance to 25 million uninsured means 25 million more have insurance. Also Obummercare wiped out 16 trillion of Medicare spending over a 75 year period.

What Seniors Have To Fear From Obamacare - Forbes

Updated Estimates of the Insurance Coverage Provisions of the Affordable Care Act | Congressional Budget Office
We could insure every american if only we'd subsidize everyone.. Do you see the problem with this?

We didnt have 50 million without insurance we started with 36 million, the other 14 million were illegals who STILL will be without insurance..

From YOUR link
CBO and JCT Estimate That the Coverage Provisions of the ACA Will Have a Net Cost to the Federal Government of $1.5 Trillion Over the 2015–2024 Period

We were told it would create SURPLUSES.. And insure EVERYONE, while CUTTING costs..

Gross costs of $2,004 billion for Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), subsidies and related spending for insurance obtained through exchanges, and tax credits for small employers;

About 1 million fewer people will obtain coverage through exchanges,
About 1 million fewer people will enroll in Medicaid and CHIP as a result of the ACA, and
About 1 million more people will be uninsured.

That's how it was. Every single year. And Republicans pretend it was some great system, or that employer provided medical benefits was going to be a long term sustainable way to provide medical care to most Americans.

The ACA is working fine

As the GOP and their allies continue to lie, I will never vote for a Republican again.
Excuse me, but I didn't hear a "thank you." I'm paying for this wonderful program.

I got my Medicare book also and it states:

"Find out what you pay for Medicare (Part A and Part B)
The 2015 Medicare premium and deductible amounts weren’t available at the time of printing.

cost information, visit

or call 1-800-MEDICARE
(1-8 0 0-633-4 227).

I called and was told that the prices were NOT available yet. They expect them sometime in November.

Co-indecently, that is AFTER the elections.

So tell us, HOW DID YOU GET YOUR PRICING?

Republicans are equally affected by the costs of healthcare and In 2008 there was support for healthcare reform across the board but people were under the impression that meant reigning in the costs. This is the fundamental thing healthcare reform needed to do, instead it's increasing....

So ACA helps how with any of this how?

Costs are STILL going up despite claims that they would fall $2500
Surpluses for the program are actually trillion dollar + deficits
ACA is supposed to insure every american but leaves tens of millions uninsured

And you ***** and moan about employer sponsored insureance which continues to exist, and the only way it'll be reduced is by turning the nation into part time employees all working multiple jobs in order to afford to live.

Does that sound like success to you?

So the policy keeps staying the same (with additions), My Doc. is still accepting it and the price has not gone up in 4 years.
Prior to 2010 my costs went up just like everyone. With the ACA in place my coverage continues to improve while the costs stay the same. I would call that a decrease in price as the value has gone up and the cost has stayed the same.

The only costs going up for me now are State and Real Estate Taxes. Both of which are controlled by Republican Administrations at the State and County level.

The GOP lies and more lies.

If the Red States took the Federal Medicaid expansion those tens of millions would be covered. Yes the Red states that have taken the expansion have benefited.

As the GOP and their allies continue to lie, I will never vote for a Republican again.

1. Average premiums for those who had insurance before have increased.

2. Most of those enrolled on the exchanges are assigned to medicaid.

3. Obamacare has looted $750 billion from medicare, necessitating cuts in reimbursement to many specialists (not primary care). As a result, we have to "ration" medicare slots.

4. We have only seen the private (and not the employer mandate) so far. The employer mandate will be a mess 10X the initial rollout.

5. Many employers will choose to dump covered employees to medicaid.

6. Good luck getting elective care if on medicaid.

7. One does not "insure" 40 million additional people and reduce costs. To have suggested so was insanity.
