Gas prices are (speculators aside) mostly the result of supply and demand.
Supply is up (due to fracking, increased drilling, etc)
Demand is down (due to more efficient cars, alternate energy sources - such as wind turbines instead of oil-fueled power plants, etc).
BOTH impact price - not ONE, not the OTHER - BOTH.
You people are just unbelievable.. Yes Ken everything you state is exactly true...However as I stated in my previous post. If the our dear leader and the greenaics(global warming moon bats) had their way gases prices not be coming down. Why you say because what is their favorite word in the lexicon dictionary "TAXES"!!!. Anyways just keep circling the wagon for the dear leader.

Seems to me that to a large degree he HAS HAD HIS WAY - higher EPA air quality standards, increased alternative energy development such as wind and solar, higher fuel-mileage for gas-powered cars, more alternately-powered vehicle such as electric.
ALL of those things HAVE happened - and the world didn't end. Gas prices didn't skyrocket - in fact they've dropped.
Yup.
A prime example of partisanship over integrity, consistancy AND common sense.
Any excuse to bash the President - no matter how stupid or irrational.

And consider this too. Gas prices nearly got that high during the 2nd part of the Bush administration. Either the President is responsible, or he isn't. It can't be both ways. If one isn't going to blame former President Bush for the gas prices, then one cannot blame the current President for it. If one is going to blame the current President for the gas prices, do the same for every former President. If one cannot give the President credit for the gas prices going down, don't blame the President for the gas prices going up.
Alot of inconsistencies. And it is indicative of cowardice, in addition to partisan devotion and hypocrisy.
As for the gas prices, I'm happy to see them come down. That said, I wonder what part of this has to do with switching to winter gas supplies and which part has to do with more oil being drilled.
Sort of like when Biden and company blamed GWB for high gas prices? Remember the BS story about asking a man how much it cost to fill his car and the man didn't know because he couldn't afford to fill it? Obama is just getting a taste of his own medicine.

That all depends on if the current President has done anything to cause gas prices to increase. I don't believe that Obama has. I do believe that the EPA under his administration is questionable in some regards.

Actually, it wasn't that gas prices "nearly" got that high under Bush, they DID get that high under Bush (and higher). The highest nationwide average gas price EVER was under Bush (in the summer of 2008) - just before the economy went off a cliff - and drove gas prices down, down down.
Now gas prices are going down for the RIGHT reasons - not simply because the economy is tanking.
