I'm not sure. Maybe, maybe not. I do know that as soon as the votes were counted he had one standing by his side.

Both sides lawyer up when things don't go how they want. Trying to paint this as something that only one side does is stupid.

That is no what you stated........you clearly stated that everyone does it......I'm not denying that, I want YOU to show me and everyone else that PRIOR to an election they KNOW they are going to lose they are lawyering up.....

I am sure that Jefferson Davis was "willing to compromise" with Lincoln after Appamatox as well.
Are you leaving out the link so that we can't examine the quote in context, or are you just shilling for the Faux News fascist RW? So what if Biden said such a thing? Gawwwwly... McConnell and Boehner are always saying that while lying through their merlot-stained repub teeth.
Funny how you righties can only post blustery unreferenced platitudes pulled from your dark recesses. It is your fascist obstructionist republicon congress which has never compromised, and Yurtle, your senate leader, openly and proudly said as much - remember?
Also, why don't you state the reason that much republicon-authored legislation has been stalled in the Senate - I'm sure you know because Fox has told you all about it, no?
BTW, you also had to "clarify" the fact that Obama was in the White House for all the short-attention-span Fox dittoheads out there who might have forgotten? Good of you to keep them on their toes.

That being said, I hope the republicans will be the bigger people and not lower themselves to continue the bickering, obstruction, blaming and name calling initiated and continued by the president when they regain both houses of Congress. I hope the democrats and republicans in Congress are ready to compromise. But, I have serious doubts Obama will compromise. He has a pen and a phone and I predict numerous executive orders and veto after veto of congressional bills for the next two years.
The policy of obstruction started by the Republicans in Congress will continue back and forth through the next 2 or 3 presidencies... THANK YOU TEA PARTY...

What will republican compromise look like, their focus was on bills to defund Obama care the last few years I think 30? What are the major bills waiting for passage in the senate.

Look at Biden....even he's bailing out on Obama. He is the smart one between the 2 after all.

Does he mean they weren't ready to compromise in the past ?

Somehow I see the image of Rumplestiltskin, outraged and fuming after his name has been discovered.

That is what I was suggesting to hawk - the neat little trick of attaching to dem-authored legislation, riders, whether germane or not, demanding stuff like repeal of the ACA - knowing full well that it would be unacceptable to senate democrats. This is one way to deep-six a bill and thereby obstruct.
It's actually more than those better-publicized defunding and repeal attempts.
