I have similar results with mine, up about 45% over a two year span. Prior to the ACA, the cost did not raise 45% accumulatively for the prior 7 years (not even close). My plan will be void after 2015, ACA will not allow it. When that occurs my rate will jump about 250%. Currently I have a $10k deductible and pay the 2015 rate of $392 for a family of four. ACA will force me to pay in the neighborhood of $1000 for a ~$6k deductible. I do not need a lower deductible, nor do I need every minor ailment covered. I definitely do not qualify for the subsidies either. I will basically be paying an additional $7k a year for a smaller, but still sizable, deductible.
When I went to Holly Springs NC on E-health I found the cheapest plan was $324 per month for a family of four with two 35 year old adults. That is with a $6,400 or $12,000 family deductible. Why not try shopping for insurance and instead of letting Human, Aetna, or United ********* overs? By the way once you go past age 40 or so insurance really starts to go up. You should thank Obama and Obummercare if you are over age 40. Post back with some real figures from e-health and tell us what your rates will be.
I'm up 13% on my individual purchased ACA compatible plan compared to last year's exact plan. $1220.80 per month no HSA No subsidy family silver plan from non profit health coop which was started by grant from ACA law. 4K deductible $12,700 max OOP
Health insurance costs continue to be unaffordable for most of the unsubsidized.
So you're basically saying that the hospitals raised their prices because people who already didn't have insurance who continued to not have insurance before ACA went into effect, causing higher rises in the insurance premiums in 2014?
Do you not see the logic failure in that?
When ACA was passed we had 36 million americans without insurance.
The number now sits at 41 million.
There are MORE uninsured, and since medicaid pays the hospitals a lower ucr percentile rates, that lower revenue needs to be made up elsewhere..
There is no logic failure, just liberal ignorance.

I'm not sure of your numbers. But locally our hospital is seeing boom times due to ACA, AZ Medicaid expansion and fewer no payers. I profit share with my hospital and have had big smiles.

The rates I posted earlier were given to me earlier this year on E-Health. Why would you think I do not shop for insurance? We employ several people full time, so insurance costs/requirements in general are quite important to us. The figures I posted are quite real, unfortunately.
