One word kills jobs faster than anything else. " Uncertainty " When you have changes in policy, regulation, taxes, finance, shifts in direction, new programs never tried which are equal to plain old gambling. Uncertainty is created. When uncertainty exist investment and other activity's slow down, pause, stall, or come to a halt. How many times in the last 10 years have we heard that large investors with lots of cash are on the side lines waiting. Doesn't matter what they are waiting for. They are protecting their cash. They won't do anything until uncertainty is removed.
Small business does the same thing. If you are certain there is a demand you can fill and make a profit you will proceed. If by hiring additional employees it allows you to make even more and you want to grow your business you will hire.

yes, but is that what they mean when they say they will be creating jobs....
Listen, they know that Americans are hungry and need work, so by saying that, there are an awful lot of people who believe them, but a politican cannot create jobs....

That isn't what I'm asking

Can a politician create jobs...?

I don't see how they can?

they are not job creators they are just LIERS.

if you hear them even speak one more about it then you know they are lying.
move onto the next candidate same deal.

etc
until someone will speak the truth.

if none of them will then all of them must be thrown out.
best to write mickey mouse as the next congressman or women.

if we get enough votes for mickey mouse we can get the subway rat as a congressman/women

and we would have a better functioning government.

we shall give CHEESE to all citizens.
yay cheese...

better to have rats as our leaders than them...
yup, that is what I believe, but Americans really do believe them???????

If they hire someone directly such as an aid then yes. But what they do is support policy that creates uncertainty or certainty which then hinders or helps job creation. So indirectly they might or might not. Often the policy doesn't have the outcome they claim and the result is different than expected. They make the claim they will create jobs to get elected. Knowing that the claim of causing the loss of jobs isn't going to get them elected.
I did answer your question in my first remark like a politician because it is important to speak around the subject and never really get pinned down with an answer directly. How many times will you see them say yes or no ? It is better to muddle in shades of grey. If you walk away from the conversation with a politician shaking your head and wondering what the heck did he say, then he's done his job well. Likely he will achieve the highest office which he is unqualified to hold.

And discourage businesses from creating jobs. Under the Obama administration, businesses got the message, that the party in office sees them as the enemy, so of course they hoarded instead of invested in growing their business essentially resulting in less job creation.

Government policies can be either favorable toward or antagonistic toward job creation. That's just the way it is.

If Americans want jobs then stop believing the Democrats and stop being so anti-business.
