Well, tell us who DID improve your life----- that's right, nobody from Washington DC, ever. Happy landings..

Style is more important than substance. Republican candidates have a brand; they promote an image. Freedom loving, bible thumping, gun slinging, pure-bred Americans. That appeals to many people in this country. Appeal is more important than policy.

The reality (that no one will admit) is, none of the Republican candidates in the C-Span debates I watched these few weeks had any concrete agenda. They simply blamed Democrats for everything. Even Governor Brownback, pressured by disastrous tax cuts placed on the backs of Middle Class Kansas, prevailed by pointing the finger at Obama / Obamacare, and touting "patience... it will work."

It is really pathetic that our country is reduced to accusing the other guy as sucking as a policy platform. Not a single Republican laid out an agenda. They asked for trust.. and they got it.
So the carpenter/contractor you've hired to remodel your house has been a disaster. The good parts of the house are now in shambles, the parts that needed fixing are worse. The walls are crooked, the new part of the foundation is crumbling, the doors don't open or close, the floor isn't flat and the roof leaks.

So the owner tells the incompetent idiot to get lost.

The contractor pulls himself up straight and screams at the top of his voice "You stupid, mindless, idiotic fool! can't you see all I have done for you????"

Just as you're doing.

Democrats have done NOTHING good.

Period.

I have zero positive expectations for the behavior of people who rally behind the Democrats or Republicans as if it's their favorite sports team. News flash: both parties are pretty much the same. And neither one cares one bit about improving your life.

Democrats: don't cry, ACA isn't going anywhere, Obama isn't getting impeached, we're not gonna cut taxes to 5% for the rich. These next 2 years will be the same as the last two (actually, maybe you should cry in that case).

Republicans: don't get overjoyed. The huge deficit isn't going anywhere, ACA isn't going anywhere, Roe v Wade isn't going anywhere, Obama isn't going anywhere. Hope you enjoy 2 more years of the status quo while you pretend things are so much better.

Welcome to the Corporate States of America. We've been here for multiple decades now, but welcome nonetheless.

Democrats sift through the debris | TheHill

While they are wandering around aimlessly as tumbleweeds blow through Democrat Row, boxing up their offices and taking down their Obama pictures while pointing fingers at each other and reassessing whether Hillary Clinton is really their next savior seeing as how only Shaheen was saved by a Clinton visit and that was close, what do you really think went wrong for the Democrats? If you are going to blame the President, what specifically did he do wrong?
This president has never framed his message well to voters. It all boils down to that Pelosi quote -- "We have to pass it (ACA) to know what's in it." I think he came into this presidency with too much naivete and it has cost him. It's why I wanted Hillary to begin with.

Of course. 10% of the left won't be happy until we look like Venezuela 10% of the Right won't be happy until we resemble the Christion version of Saudi Arabia. And they wonder why the largest growth is amongst independants.

Let's not create a false dichotomy between the parties now. The Democrats and Republicans both suck, but to say 10% of Democrats want to be Venezuela is a bit much for a political party that, while slightly left of the Republicans, is still well right of center. I doubt there's very many socialists in this country who vote Democrat.

And I think more than 10% of Republicans would prefer a theocracy. I don't think it's fair to call the Tea Party the "American Taliban" like some liberals say, and I don't think they'd be as extreme as Saudi Arabia, but there's no doubt that a large amount of them, perhaps a majority, want religion to be the guiding force in our laws.

What do I think of this election? A stupid population cheering for the victories of their sports team when those victories have zero impact on their lives.

That is the other reason democrats got their butts handed to them. All they ever do is "tit for tat" as if they are little children.

If the democrats and Obama were supposed to be different and represent change, then why is it that all they ever do is point to the other guy and say "see, they do it too?"

If all you ever do is point to someone else to justify what you do then where is the leadership, the difference and the change? The fact is that you're no different and don't represent change anymore than the very people you claim are the problem. In fact, you've become the problem and two days ago the American people told you to shut up and hit the door.

Notice that they didn't ask you, they told you and then followed up with the cold reality of a moving van.

Come on, let's be real here. Both Democrats and Republicans are equally pathetic with pointing the finger and acting like absolute children. It's actually sad to watch two adults engage in name-calling, partisan discussion on here. I mean there are grown adults using the words "Obummer" and "Democrap." I can't think of any names thrown at Republicans off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are some.

Basically what I'm saying to 90% of you here is: grow up.
