I supported the Republican Agenda in the 2014 Midterm Elections because:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
No need for six answers, one will do: because those Republicans who won delivered a message that resonated with a majority of voters. From the MD Governor's race to the upstate NY Congressional District to the Iowa Senate race.
Your question should be aimed not at Republicans but at those Democrats who crossed party lines (or who didn't bother even voting) to vote for a Republican.
The Democrats have been fighting to reduce climate change,
Err, the climate change that is still in debate? The climate change that nobody has definitively proven exists? That climate change?

So we're supposed to want people in power who believe in raising the tax rate on something that shouldn't be taxed in the first place?

How has that worked out for them? Student loan rates are going up, not down, and the Dems have had control for a while now.

They didn't expand healthcare access, they just increased costs for everyone across the board.

To help the poor do what? Stay on the government dole? Name one program that the Democrats support which actually helps the poor to improve their lifestyle. Just one, and we can have a discussion about it.

Republicans just want nothing other then "let's screw over the entire country to make the President look bad"
What have the Democrats made progress on? Everything they've done has the net effect of increasing the roles of those on the government dole, not decreasing it.
The answers on this thread could serve as a blueprint for the Dumbing Down of America
The Democratic platform relies on dumb, emotional voters. They want maximum hate, maximum resentment, no knowledge of economics, and want reinforce the victim mindset.
I supported the Republican Agenda in the 2014 Midterm Elections because:
1. it was run by grown ups
2. I liked a lot of the 300+ bills sitting on Reids desk
3. the senate would go home, while congress stayed
4. Reid would not caucus on budget - required by law
5. ACA sucks - republicans alternatives better
6. lower taxes
7. more transparency
8. future voting on Supreme Court Justices
9. agencies that actually function
10. Republican appointees aren't as controlling (example IRS)
11. Etc
Obama and progressive ended up being more like Nixon in abuse of rights and scandals resulting. Look to exit polls as to why they even loss young and women's votes. Results show that more than ever people do not trust government.
I hate to break it to you but your grandson will grow up in an "Orwellian society" no matter which party is in control. It's already here and it didn't start with Obama.
The thing is that the trend in the Republican party right now is the small government conservatives while the trend in the Democrat party right now is the progressives. So while you are correct that both parties support Big Brother government, the Republicans are trending away from it and the Democrats are trending towards even more of it.
