Is Marijuana "harmless" ? No, that can been said of water too.

Is it the demon the Reefer Madness and Dare programs claim ? NO NO NO

On a basic level it is MUCH less harmful than alcohol; you can NEVER OD from smoking it, you will NEVER "black out", you will never do anything you wouldn't otherwise do given the correct set of conditions, there is never a "hang-over".

Although many heavy drug users started with Marijuana, the reverse isn't true, MOST marijuana users NEVER advance beyond Marijuana.

Thanks you for a concise voice of reason. I couldn't agree more.

We were just talking about weed about my job today. So many people of my generation are lying to themselves that weed isn't addicting or can cause damage. I've seen what a high person looks like. I've seen what happens when a straight-A student with an outgoing personality smokes that drug and how they become a brain dead zombie with blood shot eyes and can't even complete their work. How anyone is convinced this is some kind of harmless drug is beyond me.

We compare a person that would get stoned to class with blood shot eyes to a person that comes drunk to class and smells of beer. In both cases they have a problem.

At high-school level marijuana is easier to get then alcohol, because drug dealers don't ask for ID, if it was regulated like alcohol then it would be easier to keep it away from from kids.
