This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. Okay, so it’s written to do that. In terms of risk rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in – you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed… Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. It isn't like we fiscal conservatives didn't try really hard to reason with the left in here. Nothing about the ACA made any sense, and it was dripping with deception. The left accepted all the lies, even after the truth surfaced; you can keep your doctor, plan, and save money. They abandoned all common sense as they entered the gates of candy land.

I was one of the thousands in DC protesting the day the ACA bill passed.
Pelosi walked though the crowd with her huge hammer......any other time she would have used the tunnel.

The Democrat core- young, clueless, idealist kids, uneducated minorities, criminal freeloaders, and single white baby mamas all fell for it hook, link, and sinker.
