"Democratic centrists unhappy with how the Senate has functioned under Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) sought to delay a Thursday vote on keeping him as leader. At least four Democratic senators tried to postpone the secret-ballot vote on whether Reid should serve as minority leader next year, several Democratic lawmakers confirmed. 'I said I most certainly didn’t think we could go forward with business as usual as far as our caucus is concerned. That’s why I cast my vote against Sen. Reid and had urged the caucus to delay the vote for a week,' said Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.). More than half a dozen spoke on that topic.”

Dems sought to delay Reid vote | TheHill

I thought it was supposed to be the GOP with trouble in the ranks.

Some people refuse to recognize the anger within the Democratic party.

In fairness, Mary Landrieu is sprinting as fast as she can from any and all Democrats in a last gasp effort to keep her seat. It won't work, of course.

I thought it was Harry Reid that gave the ok for Landreau to bring forth the Keystone vote so she could look like the star to the Louisiana Democrats before the December run-off vote.

Of course that was before the Josh Earnest said the President planned to veto it.

Maybe she thinks Reid set her up to look foolish?

There are still centrist Democrats, there are no centrist republicans. There is always debate among Democrats, there is none among Republicans.

Heck Harry Reid is only majority leader now because Tom Daschle lost

The same cant be said of your party .....talked for 3 years about new leadership and unanimously voted Mitch majority leader.

You cant have it both ways

Either you want Dems to discuss new leadership, or you dont.

Hilarious projection. There are no centrist Democrats, which explains the asz whipping your side got last week. How many republicans won by running ads saying "This Democrat voted 95% with Obama"? Lots and lots.

Serious question: do you actually believe the propaganda you regurgitate on this forum?

I think the Democrats should keep Reid! Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in charge for a long, long time. Unfortunately, King Obama can't run again. If he could we might see 70 Republican Senators and 350 Republicans in the House.

You didn't get the memo. Wasserman-Schultz is now being shunned by "good" Obama democrats.
