They didn't vote on the pipeline for the same reason Obama didn't do an executive order on immigration until now (well, threaten to).

They didn't want to upset the base in states, so they put off the pipeline vote. They didn't want to upset red state dems so they put off the executive order.

Its all politics.

Thats my guess anyways. Lets be honest, Obama is going to be using his veto pen a lot.
Good, its time that the Democratic Senate stops protecting the President from work..

Going to be a busy 2 years for Obama running around yelling NO in regards to everything..

I'm glad that, after all this time, there will finally be a vote.
Too little, too late to help Mary. She's toast.

Oh BTW, guess who is gonna replace Mary on the Energy Committee.
Yup...Cassidy.

She actually has been in favor but she now is paying the price for not playing hardball to get it passed. If you look closely she has gotten a lot for her keeping her mouth shut on other bills such as ACA. But she put to much faith in Obama's coattails as they say. Two votes were bought in ACA passage; the so called Nebraska exemption and the Louisiana purchase. The purchase was about giving other funding for the increase state cost for Medicaid expansion.

So Reid stops this bill from going to a vote for 6 years. Now that there is a political reason to vote on it he brings it to the floor for a vote? How about what's good for the country and not a Senator who is going to loose anyway? What the hell has happened with our elected officials? I blame voters for letting this BS continue.

We have let them lie and become corrupt and we let them do it without any repercussions. I'm just as guilty as the next guy in some cases.

This is just beyond unbelievable..
Good luck with that, Dems! LOL

If this doesn't convert dems to the other side of the isle, nothing will. An enlarging pattern of decit and deception is so appropriate for the D-party. Now we know what the D in democrat represents. A democratic party taken over by the fringe D-party.

Here you have the dems who ignored forcing the keystone issue and putting a wet blanket on the jobs they now say will be created, to save a seat in the senate. To save a seat for ML who was embodied in the bribe named, the Luisianna Purchase, critical for passage of obamacare which she never read or understood.

What a collection of self absorbed, scheming absuers. A group that holds their career above carrying out responsibility to the people who elected them.

This is an obvious failure of leadership. Harry should resign immediately after Mary loses, if not sooner.

Harry needs to stay in power. His name needs to be mentioned every time the dems have a temper tantrum trying to stop bills in the senate
