I'm for states rights, shouldn't it be up to the people of the state to decide? Isn't that the argument on abortion?
I support concealed carry btw. I just find it odd when someone cheers a decision like this, but if a court overturns gay marriage bans or abortion bans, suddenly the court is to liberal.

States' rights do not extend to violations of the Constitution. If a state wants to reinstate slavery, they can't do it. If a state wants to go all Catholic, all Mormon, or all Baptist, they can't do that either.
This is great news. If California doesn't respond then many of the draconian restrictions are done. I'm not a gun nut - I enjoyed hunting in my 20's and 30's but that was it. I am a civil rights nut and hate to see the constitution trampled.

California voted and we ran to the Feds because we didn't like the outcome. That's the way it works here with the liberal wackos.
