If I was in the Oval Office I would cut off all economic and military aid for Turkey. The Turks are very reliant on us for spare parts and upgrades for most of their military equipment.
The supreme irony of this attack is that the attackers are students who claim to idolize Ataturk who was very pro-Western and secular. Go figure
They are secular. Do they look like Islamists? They were anarcho-communists and posted the video in an attempt to damage US-Turkish relations and align the country with Assad's Syria (they've visited Syria in support of Assad), and I'm assuming also Russia, Iran, and the Turkic nations.
Start fighting back, in a hostile and foreign land, and that whole crowd would have stomped their heads into the ground.
