A record number of foreign citizens are being deported from Norway, after the country’s police stepped up the use of deportation as a way of fighting crime. Some 5,198 foreign citizens were expelled from the country in 2013, an increase of 31 percent since 2012, when 3,958 people were deported.
“It is the highest number we’ve had ever,” Frode Forfang, head of the Directorate of Immigration (UDI), told NRK. “We believe that one reason for the increase is that the police have become more conscious of using deportation as a tool to fight crime.”
Wouldn't do much good here though, immigrants commit lower levels of crime than Americans.

True. Countries like Norway imported crime through immigration, while here in US it is home-grown. So the solution in Norway is simple, throw them out, and they take the crimes with them. So, it is true that it is a poor comparison to US.
If that was true in US, then we would not have immigrants here, we would only have citizens.
For some reason the US government assumes every illegal alien and legal imigrant from south of the border wants to become a citizen. Many just want to work.
We have the law that syas if born here you are a citizen, it was put there to accomodate freed slaves. This law has been abused by illegals enabled by the feds.

Where do you get such bogus information? U.S. prisons have very large populations of inmates that were not born here, most of which are from Central and South America, the Middle East and Africa.

Depends on where and who. Stockton,California has one of the highest murder rates in the nation for cities of 250,000+ residents. Stockton is a sanctuary city, as in, those who came illegally won't be arrested or deported. Chances are, some of them could be represented among those committing crimes.
Yes, we could. As a matter of fact we are deporting criminals. The Norwegians did not profile anyone, the people the deported had already been arrested for crimes. They deported some 5000 criminals, and a good portion happened to be muslims. They were not deported for being muslim, or for being immigrants (legal or illegal), but for committing crimes.
Then the title of the thread should have been, "Norways deports record number of criminals. Crime drops."
