There's a simple way to resolve these issues going forward
Why can't the law enforcement be preferably assigned to jurisdictions where they match the demographic of the population they are policing? Not racial profiling necessarily but putting in authority that is a member of the community being policed so that there is no discourse between the law enforcement and neighborhood. This will enable better dealings between law enforcement and residents. So a community that is 100% African American I'm saying should have a police force that is 100% African American as much so as is the community demographic. A diverse community should have a divorce police force.
And regardless of demographic, police training should focus on diversity training of how to respond to incidents fairly
But if a community with lots of African Americans had more African American law enforcement, that would reduce any speculation of racially motivated actions vs self-defense
