Welcome to planet earth, this is honestly nothing.. our media just over exaggerates it. look around the world at actual full blown unrest.
It certainly is nothing compared to some events in foreign countries. I'll give you that. All I'm getting at is with the media coverage of this, it certainly could have been much worse. Do the police prepare for the worst and protect businesses or just let these people run wild and burn the town to the ground? And with some of the threats, why leave anything to chance?

What's been the timeline for black movement into that area? Now compare against the average career length of officers. Now filter for population and qualifying men with no criminal convictions and you may begin to be able to better understand. Additionally, that specific gripe is a bit hypocritical given the common complaints against white flight. If white officers are replaced on the force, then they will leave the area for another job. Do you wish whites to stay or leave?
It is not the police department's fault that there are not enough black applicants that can pass the background check. What you do as a juvenile can come back to haunt you.
And where did you come to the conclusion that all of the black police applicants have a criminal past?

Have you ever tried hiring people? Do you know what the security requirements are to be a police officer?
And they have to pass a drug test.
My company announced in the paper they were actively looking for minorities for many openings, paying over 50K a year to start. The last I heard? They haven't found one yet and are just hiring white people.
Either they aren't applying, they don't care or they can't pass a drug test.
Well, obama showed us what an idiot he really is and the protesters (obaggers, one and all) are showing us what sort of idiots they are. I hope the police respond in force.

You realize they play a small role in this right? most people in this town probably don't label themselves "liberal" "conservative" like you people do.
The decision has been made on shooting. Now if those crimes are happening troops and police need to do what they have to do to restore peace and charge those who commit crimes. Standing by won't get it. IMO; anyone on the streets is stupid to be there. and asking for conflict involvement.

Whys it seem liberals and many blacks are the ones upset the most? And none of them know all the facts but can't fathom why a jury didn't see it their way. So they blame racism and the usual bs.
This was so rigged. The Prosecutor stated that witnesses saw different things --- that alone indicates there wasn't agreement among witnesses and that there was probable cause for an indictment and a fair trial.
The grand jury isn't a trial. It is simply to determine if charges should be laid and a trial conducted.
What a farce! One huge step backwards for the U.S.
