So you might say that this was more of a PINO (private in name only). In reality it was joined at the hip with the admin. When this reporter reported things that were true about the admin, she was called into the office and admonished. What's interesting is that every liberal poster here (w/ possible exception of certain poster(s) on my ignore list) is quite all right with that state of affairs.
For the others, this might be something to keep in mind next time you tune in to CNBC for financial info.

CNBC is also the channel that has Rick Santelli doing multiple reports a day, who is definitely not shy about expressing his opposition to the Obama administration. CNBC is way better than Fox Business, where Francis now works, at keeping politics out of their reporting.
I think Francis is just pandering to her new viewer base.

That's actually a pretty good point. I didn't know that Santelli was still at CNBC. I don't watch these cable channels much. You may have changed my mind on this. It is possible that Santelli has clout that Francis did not in order to get away with what he does. I also note that I have a lot of respect for Howard Kurtz, who seemed to go along with the portrayal that Francis gave. Who knows? Perhaps some others will come forward to confirm or deny her account. If it is as she says, it's a problem.

That is one heck of a conspiracy theory, GE got a tax break so NBC suppresses a reporter. I take issue with GE's tax breaks, along with Apple and Google but I don't connect that to restricting news stories. What stories did she claim to be shut down?
......While at CNBC, Francis said on “Fox & Friends,” she pointed out several flaws in the health care law. Among them: Americans would be kicked off their existing insurance plans and the cost of premiums would rise, because “the math of Obamacare simply didn’t work.”
Following her warning to viewers, Francis recalled, executives with the NBC-owned cable business channel attempted to silence her and said she was “disrespecting the office of the president” and being “too political.'.....”
Too many in today's mainstream media are just squandering and trashing their role as protectors of the 1st Amendment.
Thank God they're becoming more irrelevant as time progresses as more modern means of communications have come about.
This goes on with every president, apparently right wingers were never aware of that until Obama.
But didn't the majority elect what was to be a "most transparent" administration?
WTH happened?
