A friend of mine commented on how he was disgusted by way Obama lies in his speeches.

I no longer think he lies, he tells us what he is going to do and does it. If there are no conspiracies, there are no theories. There are only the guilty.

Also, this same action has been done nearly 70 times in the past few decades, so lets not pretend this is something new.

Green cards are setting "enforcement priorities" in the case of illegals now?

They are not getting green cards. If you have funds to deport 10 people out of 100, then you would have to choose who goes and who stays. Do you understand?

That's backwards thinking. ALL illegals should be on the deportation list which then is reviewed based on who needs asylum in the US for valid security and safety reasons.

Then, you cut the crazy pork projects and re-allocate funds for deportation.

Yes, they are. The EO will allow them to have green cards with a three year duration to be reevaluated at the end of that term. When he said he'll provide them a mechanism to work legally, what did you think he meant?

Obama's immigration executive order: Here are the details | Early & Often
Quote:
Creating a mechanism that requires certain undocumented immigrants to pass a background check to make sure that they start paying their fair share in taxes. In order to promote public safety, DHS is establishing a new deferred action program for parents of U.S. Citizens or LPRs who are not enforcement priorities and have been in the country for more than 5 years. Individuals will have the opportunity to request temporary relief from deportation and work authorization for three years at a time if they come forward and register, submit biometric data, pass background checks, pay fees, and show that their child was born before the date of this announcement. By providing individuals with an opportunity to come out of the shadows and work legally, we will also help crack down on companies who hired undocumented workers, which undermines the wages of all workers, and ensure that individuals are playing by the rules and paying their fair share of taxes.

Default A modest proposal

The US House of Representatives proposes legal action(s) involving allegations that our present Administration over-reached its executive powers concerning implementation of the Affordable Care Act as well as in immigration matters. President Obama speech dated 11/20/2014 evidencing his intent to issue executive orders involving many millions of undocumented aliens has inflamed the nation.

Impediments to the House's success in the proposed suits are Obama's defense of Presidential prosecutorial discretion, the weak checks and balances mechanism between the Administrative Branch and Congress, Congress' lack of standing in a court of law to raise its Constitutional right of supremacy based upon a plain reading of the Constitution, and Congress' specious remedies: impeachment, the power of the purse (the nuclear option-defund the government), or the ability to passcountervailing bills which will be vetoed.

The President's intends to suspend the effect of existing immigration laws. President Obama referred to a class of undocumented workers “living in the shadows.†In his address of 11/20/2014, the President pointed out the difficulty of “tracking down, rounding upand deporting†these aliens who he believes are now working here. So President Obama will order USDHS, USCIS to issue temporary reprieves from removal to provide legal status for whomever shows up and provides“proof.â€

The President is attempting to provide an immigration benefit (status) to an undetermined class. Everybody is going to try to climb on to this gravy train.

Presently, to obtain employment based visas from USCIS it is necessary to apply to the US Labor of Department to test the market and offer the intended employment position to the alien and all suitable American workers. Followingthe President's wishes, a work permit will be granted to allow an undocumented worker to continue in his/her same employment. Under the present system, if the alien is already employed in the intendedemployment position, it is a per se employment law violation.

And, of course, it follows that for the millions of reprieves that are granted, the same number of American workers are excluded from that employment with no market test

Implicit in President Obama's intent toissue temporary reprieves is the realization that the undocumentedworkers have violated federal and state employment laws by working in the US without authorization. So the reprieves are, in substance, attempted pardons to presently unknown violators with no federal supremacy, or they areadministrative benefits treating a class of undocumented workersunequally.

Besides that yes, they are I'm sure there is great support for more funding throughout the nation.
No one should be the responsibility of them being here on "lack of funding" to enforce our sovereignty.

It is not a green card. A green card is a permanent resident visa, and they are not getting those.

Well, if the Congress authorizes money to deport 400K people, while we have 11 million illegals in US, so you have to choose who goes and who stays. It is the job of the Congress to cut "crazy pork projects" and allocate money for deportations.
