Why didn't he call a press conference and announce this? Where's his mouthpiece Josh?

Obama has gone from withdrawing troops to extending their stay in Afghanistan and expanding their mission. He isn't winding down the war in Afghanistan, he's winding it back up. More lives lost, more military wounded and maimed, more taxpayer dollars, and at the end of the day, be it 2015 or 2025, the results will be the same. They will revert back to what they were before the US interfered with it's "nation building" and the US can add another failure and twist it in a way so that they can call it a "success". Iraq worked out great, didn't it?

He ignored the advice of generals with he insisted on full withdrawal from Iraq without negotiating with the Iraq government because he knew more about the situation than the generals did (those that have retired (forced out) or resigned (forced to), and now he's taking their advice?? Did he wake up and realize that "Commander in Chief" is nothing more than a designation and he knew absolutely zero about war?

Yeah, he's the peace-president, isn't he?

I am sitting on this one just waiting for the moonbats to come out and try to justify this one. The reason? because their is absolutely no way to justify this whooper of a lie and worse, he did it behind their backs just like everything else he does.

I should add this as a signature line but I just can't understand how anyone who voted for this moron based on what he promised can every look at him let alone listen to the very voice you know is lying to you.

The Liberals are warhawks when it comes to anything Obama, you can bet excuses will fly.

This inept, corrupt administration is just 1 looooooong chain of lies that never ends.

All Obama does is heap failures on top of failures while his rabid idiot supporters sing his praises and spin everything this fool does.

This was a bad decision caving into the Pentagon, If Iraq has no interest in fighting then why should we. The core issue is a dysfunctional government in Iraq, if they get their act together they will succeed. The same generals that told us the Iraqi's were battle ready are now telling us we are threatened, no credibility.

There is no good way out of Iraq or Afghanistan, I don't see another 10 years making a difference we should have never gone in to these countries.

lol We did it again.

The US Government has accused Syria of developing chemical weapons and harbouring Saddam Hussein's fleeing henchmen but officials say there is no imminent plan to attack the country.

How many not long ago were arguing that we were out of Iraq and leaving Afghanistan?

Caving into the Pentagon? Obama owns it, period.

It was Obama that dramatically escalated the war in Afghanistan himself when he first entered office.

The Nobel Peace Prize Winner has bombed twice the countries of Bush, escalated the drone program six fold, sent Special Forces into twice the countries of Bush, created more military bases in non-combat zones than Bush, continued rendition so shady allies can torture - while he condemns it to the cheers of his flock, etc...

We are no where near the number of troops in both countries compared to 2008 his actions are the best under the circumstances. The Taliban is here to stay, if they couldn't get rid of them in 10 years then this isn't going to solve the problem. He ran on a platform to get us out of the 2 wars yet the pentagon just can't give it up. Certainly his decision in the end but the same people that criticize his lack of action turn around and are critical of taking action, can't win.

Either way this is minimal but I do not agree with sending in troops to combat.
