Speaking for my family, we generally think that race is just a small part of the equation and who we are. Life is complicated. Harping on race and whether or not somebody likes your race is a huge waste of time.
Blacks had more economically self-sustaining communities during segregation. This was lost with the transition to integration. Blacks never figured out how much of that economic self sufficiency needed to be maintained with the coming of integration. Our communities are suffering because they aren't economically self sustaining.
Asians and Indians do great in the U.S., but they're minority. Why is that?
Because:
1. Asians and Indians are generally seen by white people to be on the upper level of the ethnic spectrum than black people
2. Unlike Blacks, Asians and Indians are usually shy and less vocal about their opinions for fear of offending others and for the sake of "saving face"
It's not the word itself that's the point I'm trying to get across. It's the association of being the worst version of something that the word NOW is associated with.
No, you're not getting it. Regardless, it still comes from the small-minded.
Believe it or not, that's more the fault of the media than it is the race.
Because, last I checked, NOT ALL BLACKS are criminals, looters, murderers, thugs, etc...
Correct but the successful black Americans are called names are the pawns of the white man to keep the brothers & sisters down as preached by the ruling power brokers .Then that message is parroted to keep you simmering with hate the opposite of Dr.King message of love...of real Hope & Change...that was his dream for all of US.
Al $ Jesse do Dr.King a great disservice by keeping the brothers & sisters down filling them will class envy loathing of others. Now some heads will explode but Dr. King was a Conservative Republican...

Do the majority of Black Americans live among such people?
Considering they are successful, who is keeping them down?
Who really listens to Al & Jesse outside of the less successful and some old people?
Saying your "Black" vs saying your "African" can be two different things in the United States. Blacks generally don't like to be lumped in with recent African immigrants. There are plenty of Black Americans who don't identify being "African".
Not to mention 400 years of slavery Jim Crow and the likes that Democrats imposed on them...and yet they vote Democrat ?
African blacks helped Portuguese slaverers to capture other African blacks to be sold into slavery.
Haven't you people here ever watched Roots ?
Al & Jesse and the Portuguese traders have signed, sealed, delivered the Bill of Sale to the Democrats...

LOL@ "African blacks." You mean people of certain ethnicties participated in selling people of other ethnicities into slavery.
