Probably kick their son out the way my boyfriend's Christian parents kicked him out when he was 15. Christians are incapable of compassion. They just do whatever their pastor tell them to do.
To this day, I still occasionally catch my boyfriend crying in his sleep. Being rejected by your own parents and kicked out into the streets is one of the most traumatic things that could happen to a child. Christians are incapable of understanding this, though.
this is pure ignorance.
boyfriend? so he is no longer a homosexual ?
Thousands have been cured of homosexual deviancy disorder through prayer and meditation. The parents did the best thing they could to help. God understands and will reward them even as liberals condemn.
Well said, it is tough duty raising kids in todays society. Especially if you are trying to protect your kids from all of the leftist pc garbage that they are inundated with . My heart goes out to any parent dealing with this issue.

You made that up.
And is there any science to back up this 'cure.' Or is it brainwashed psychological trauma that causes them to fear being gay?

How is that ignorance. Unless the story is made up, it's a very real thing. Unless something about it doesn't make sense, but seeing as you didn't elaborate, that probably means you have no counter argument.
And I'm sure he would be willing to understand that some Christians are accepting of homosexuals and don't try and 'fix' them. But many don't think for them selves, and just do what the church says, which is the root of the problem.

None whatsoever. In fact, even Exodus International - the largest Ex-Gay Christian ministry - recently came out and said that in there entire history never once was it able to change someone's sexual orientation.

Thats a good question that does need to be asked. The parents here want to help other gay kids avoid the same fate their son did. There are many factors involved, I'm sure. But we can't blame therapy when it doesn't work. He was seeking help for his gayness, not as a suicide prevention. It seems as though the parents are looking to blame the church to distract themselves from their own guilt. It's a sad story indeed.
The only help he needed for his gayness is for his family to accept him as he is.

Ehh... it applies to many. Not all, as I said and you promptly ignored it, probably because if you didn't address that, you'd have to talk about my other points which you have no argument against.
Those parents effectively killed their son. They sent him to 'therapy' to change him because they didn't like who he was. That is the opposite of compassion. Like it or not, many Christians do just do what they're told and never bother to ask why. And as far as I'm concerned, a person's intelligence is directly related to how many times they questions authority.
