Hahaha...it's clear that was not the overall point of the the thread. It was a personal gripe regarding groups that have suffered oppression in recent history. You looked for just what you got here. LOL.

I think African Americans suffered the most and in a longer duration than Jews who suffered intervals of the absolute worst of the worst

But for more minutes of time, African Americans had it bad. Discrimination, slavery, racial prejudice, prejudgment

Uh; even the Romans treated the English people like dirt way back in the day. I think when it gets down to it: ALL of us have gotten the shaft different times in history.

Actually what is clear is that if you don't like what is presented you simply change your perception to match your beliefs.

I said what I meant but you had to say, "no, here is what you really think...".

Maybe that is one reason why our country is having so much trouble...people who build fantasy worlds when the cold, hard truth is too much for them to handle.

This is why certain comments in this threas bother you so. So many generational Americans are in denial about their history.

Build a bridge and get over it.

Who said I was bothered by any comments in this threaD?

I'm not the one whining that my ethnic group isn't duly recognized.

Sounds like you are whining about other groups experiences being recognized so that's about the same.

So, yeah...."soft".
Are you incapable of having normal discussions with people that don't involve controversial topics? I think not.

Why would you want to "confront" (your word) someone about their culture anyway? Haven't you anything better to do?

Lose your job? Is that where you'd really like to "confront" people...at your place of employment? But you won't do it because you're scared to lose your job?

If I'm "coasting" (again...your word), then let me coast and mind your own business.
