Are you incapable of having normal discussions with people that don't involve controversial topics? I think not.
Why would you want to "confront" (your word) someone about their culture anyway? Haven't you anything better to do?
Lose your job? Is that where you'd really like to "confront" people...at your place of employment? But you won't do it because you're scared to lose your job?
If I'm "coasting" (again...your word), then let me coast and mind your own business.
I bet a lot of people wish they could mind their own business...for example Ferguson, MO small business owners and victims of the "knockout game".
But, golly, sometimes it is difficult to be left alone.
I don't live in Ferguson. Don't knockout people and ain't gonna be a knockout victim. Talk with them about it. I can't relate.
Well you shouldn't ask why people can't just mind their own business when other people won't let them mind their own business. If you don't participate in that behavior then why do you care at all? No one is forcing you to participate here.

You brought up Ferguson and the Knockout thing in direct response to my post...I answered you.
What did you want me to say about it?
Was I supposed to say that I live in Ferguson and knock people out?

You tell me.
I was responding to your great idea that people should mind their own business.
You seem to be upset that "people" may perhaps mean individuals who aren't you.
I suggested that when you write "people" you should understand that "people" includes individuals who aren't you.
Why are you concerned with the behavior of people who aren't you? I am only concerned about such because sometimes those people's behavior makes it difficult to mind my own business.

I'm only concerned about people that aren't me insofar as they affect me personally.
Now I may notice them...I may comment on them. But if they aren't bothering me or mine, I have no "concern."
I'm typically insouciant about most things...keeps my blood pressure in check.
The world has been filled with barbarity, conquest, inhumanity, war, torture, genocide, plague and all sorts of other very nasty $Y1T.........every people has gotten a real good dose of one and/or the other.
My opinion is, it would be really hard to tell what group has suffered the most torture........many will claim the title to get sympathy and remain relevant on the sympathy bandwagon.
Everyone else has an excuse or sympathy, including white women.
