Why does anyone expect Obama or any government employee to keep them safe?

A rational might Fox viewer would ask themselves, how long has Ebola been on the scene and how long have Africans been coming to the US? They might also ask if Ebola were a threat to the Western world wouldn’t France and Spain see an epidemic before the US?
It is a good sign when Fox has run out of rational criticisms of the current administration, but I guess they still got to sell tickets to the show.

For all of you wetting your pants over ebola, read up on Hep-C.

It's killed more people in the US in the last 6 months than Ebola has killed anywhere, ever.

Oh, and it's fairly contagious.

Link is dated 10/6.

The media fear mongered for ratings. Politicians in need of face time before the election fear mongered and milked the topic for all it was worth.

Half of us should have been dead from Ebola by now, the way some media and politicians talked. Instead, mid terms are over and Ebola is old news.

Yep, that's a plan.

NYC is charging the feds for 20 million $$ for one case of ebola!

"ALBANY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP)Sen. Charles Schumer says the federal government should reimburse New York City and Bellevue Hospital Center for costs related to Ebola.
The New York Democrat said Sunday that more than $20 million has been spent on tracking health professionals and others arriving from Ebola-stricken countries and treating Dr. Craig Spencer, a physician who recovered from the illness after receiving treatment at Bellevue.
Schumer said federal reimbursement for most of the costs is justified because the efforts are helping to prevent the deadly disease from getting a foothold in the United States."

Medical alerts for south and central american diseases, some incurable like chagas disease, from being spread across the US by feds redistributing illegal aliens and having a porous border. Insect vectors capable of carrying some of the most deadly diseases present a greater threat.

Obama appoints an ebola czar and we never hear from the guy and have no idea what he is doing. Actions like this and lack of trust in leadership, lay the base for widespread fear even when the fear is unfounded.

Obama is the guy who is supposed to catch you when you close your eyes and lean back in that game of trust. Problem is obama is distracted by sports scores on his blackberry and forgot his immediate responsibility to engender trust as he lets the person fall to the ground with ahead injury.
Dr Spencer was insured by Doctors without Borders.

Thus far, 22 have been treated for Ebola outside of Africa :

France 2
Germany 3
Norway 1
Switzerland 1
UK 1
Spain 3
US. 10

( 2 caught Ebola in the Dallas hospital. 1 caught Ebola in a hospital in Spain. Dr Spencer in NY was and remains the only Doctors without Border volunteer/ employee , out of more than 1000 who developed symptoms after returning home. )

Survival has been a mixed bag, dependent upon speed of treatment.

Despite the fear mongering otherwise, the general public and a dog did not become infected despite air travel, airport layovers, taxi rides, sharing a bed, use of public transportation, dining out, bowling, runs in the park, wedding dress try ons and on and on because those eventually diagnosed had no symptoms at the time of prior interactions.

The most recent case treated in the US was an MD who caught an advanced Ebola patient , mid fall , in Africa. Those working on the front lines in Africa are not always protected. Tests performed on the front lines are not as accurate as those performed in the US. False negatives are too common on the front lines, in Africa.
