Instead of all these mandated fines, those who earn above $250,000/year income should pay for the Govt costs of funding free universal healthcare for all people. And those millionaires should pay like $150,000 each towards the healthcare for all people, then it's a free for everybody and costs finally come down, no?

So those $250K earners fork over $150K a year and get to keep $100K for themselves ?
Oh how GENEROUS of you.

Currently total medical expenditures are 17.9% of our GDP. Most countries are in single digits, but we provide it with a lot of hands held out in between the care, and the patient.

A alternative would be a flat tax of 17.9% on all income without any exception. And if we went about it like Canada we could probably drop the cost into less then 10%

Oh wait....did you just post this to whine, or were you actually looking for comments?

Vermont is implementing this in 2017. They estimate 19% income tax (11% from employer and 8% from employees) plus they need a new state tax as well and they also plan on keeping the Fed money from medicaid and medicare to subsidize it.

No.

You can not take the money of others.

Make your own.

Says the person who pays no federal taxes while enjoying the use of federal roads, and our military to defend them.

Apparently you're taking my money to help cover you.

Vermont passed that in 2011 with 2017 implementation.
Estimates have grown to them needing over $2.2 billion to make it work.
Each year the estimates grow pretty substantially.

I pay fuel taxes.

And I also pay what the IRS says I owe.

But, since I put a lot of money in the economy........that is "0".
