I do admire Liberals loyalty. They are true believers over the past some 70 years despite repeated failure. They just keep going forward like those old USSR slogans.

Sorry about your being unemployed so many times recently.

But let's deal with objective reality. This is a thing I see many conservatives doing, which is saying/believing President Obama has been president since 2008.

No GWBush was President for all of 2008.

GWBush was President from January 2001-january 2009

President Obama wasn't sworn in as president until jan 20th 2009.

What's amazing to me is this world of delusion that conservatives reside.

When they say liberalism has failed, it's pure ignorance.

Look liberalism had a goal of increasing home ownership for Americans. Before these liberal programs homeownership stood in the 40%. Meaning the vast majority didn't own home, after these liberal programs homeownership is now in the 60%. That's success.

Liberalism wanted to protect people against job loses so it created unemployment benefits, people love unemployment and it works to keep people from being totally destitute financially. That's success.

Liberalism wanted to protect old people from poverty so it created SS, now the least likely Americans yo be in poverty are elderly Americans.

Liberalism wanted to feed Hungary children, the food stamp program feeds millions every year keeping 4 million children out of poverty.

Liberalism wanted to provide health care to the elderly and the poor, Medicare and Medicaid birth now provide health care coverage to millions of Americans.

The GI Bill was very liberal, and hugely successful

Liberalism created the popular minimum wage

Liberalism created labor laws and worker protections which we take for granted.

So when conservatives talk about liberal failure they are talking about the unpopularity of the word welfare.

A word they were able to demonize and lie about by associating welfare with racial minorities especially black people.

This is all they ride on. It's pathetic.

Let's take a look, OK...

Spending

Deficit

Don't let that ruin a good case of phony outrage, though.

I agree.

I didn't vote for him because I thought he was "great," I voted for him (twice) because I thought he was better than the opposition.

The NDAA comes up on an yearly basis and has for a long time. It's not an Obama creation.

Instead of brooding like a petulant child, please be specific on what you're complaining about. Maybe you don't even understand what the initials indicate?

Obama is pretty conservative. I'm surprised more people on the left aren't more disappointed in him.
