Sedrick Courtney.... was exonerated by DNA evidence in 2012 after he served 16 years in prison for robbery and burglary. Courtney received $175,000 from the state for his wrongful conviction.
First the award will be appealed. Then she has problem of actually collecting in her life time with other appeals. Likely her attorney will want to settle long before.
So she told her manager she was pregnant, he said "I feel sorry for you" then made her do busy work, before eventually demoting and firing her... for no reason other than being pregnant?
There's got to be something more to this story. Why would they have hired her in the first place, if they had some bizarre hatred of pregnant women? Or just women in general, as the prosecution charged.
