I totally agree with his third point!

Chris Rock on Obama: We got Shaq, not Michael Jordan

3. The comedian said Obama's tenure could have gone differently if the President started from rock bottom, rather than trying to prevent the country from further devolving into an economic disaster.

"When Obama first got elected, he should have let it all just drop...Just let the country flatline. Let the auto industry die. Don't bail anybody out. In sports, that's what any new GM does. They make sure that the catastrophe is on the old management and then they clean up. They don't try to save old management's mistakes...Let it all go to hell knowing good and well this is on them. That way you can implement. You hire your own coach. You get your own players. He could have got way more done.

Well Obama seems to be under the impression that no matter how long he gets to be the GM, any and all catastrophes should be blamed on the "old management". There is a not insignificant percentage of the electorate that is inclined to go along with that thinking, as well. I suppose in a way we're lucky he thinks that way...just imagine what he would have tried to do to us if he had been able to start with a clean slate!

OMG, now THAT is a scary scenario, but at least all blame would have been laid at his feet with no escaping that!

Well, maybe the next president is more willing to destroy the country before rebuilding it. Just let me know, so I can bail before he/she is sworn in.

I think he is a hell of a comedian that pulls back the veil a little on human behavior and interactions. Doesn't mean he is spot on about complex issues with regards to Presidential efficacy.

I have laughed quite a bit over the years though because of his routines.

IMO,letting the bankers and wall street thieves fail, and jailing many of them, plus letting GM fail instead of selling his soul to them, like every other political prostitute, would have been the best thing that could have happened to this nation!

Chris Rock is a racist pos. If he were banned from saying the words "white people" (a white comedian could never constantly lampoon "black people" for example) his "comedy act" would be a bunch of chirping crickets.

most of the time i ignore comedians and other celebrities when they make political comments, because they are usually inane comments. however when they hit the nail on the head, i listen. with the comment the OP posted, chris rock nailed it.
