A group of guys had an off-campus party at Clemson with the theme being "Cripmas". Basically, a dress up theme party where people dress up as gang members.
Wow....who knew people would get so defensive over protecting the delicate sensibilities of gang bangers?
When I was in school, we had a 'white trash' party at our frat. Everyone dressed up as redneck hillbillies. Don't know if anyone was offended, don't really care.
Are people choosing to be offended because these students are glorifying gangs, or is it because they are making fun of gangs?
I though decent people condemn gang activity.
Honestly, I can't keep up with this PC stuff. I don't know when I'm supposed to be offended and when I'm not.

That's my point... Who was offended and why?
We're the Crips offended?
No, it was a bunch of black students. Why? Is thug culture a sacred cow in the black community?
Seriously, I'm not trying to be funny, but who did this offend and why?
If a black frat had a party making fun of the KkK, do you think white people would give 2 $hits?
Great universities are built on the free expression and exploration of ideas. But the free expression of opinion must not cross the line and become harassment or intimidation
I'm not exactly sure how their party was either harassment or intimidation....then again we don't have all the information about what all they did at the party.
All this black vs white garbage is getting completely out of hand, people need to chill and be respectful of everyone else.

Let's revisit that:

Translation:
Great universities are built upon the ideas we approve of. We have very high standards, and thus, we have a right to decide what is and is not acceptable for adults to say, act, or do. And while we would never be so callous as to say it, we just conveniently frame anything we don't want in vile, evil terms, so that you will be intimidated by us into conformance. Or else.
This really is unreal. Yes, I'd be offended if I was a black person. Offended by the fact that some in our country think that I should be offended by mocking gangsters simply bc the color of my skin was the same.
Why do so many in the black community feel a connection to other blacks simply bc of skin color? I don't get mad watching white trash on Cops getting the sht kicked out of them - bc I don't associate myself with them.
