A group of guys had an off-campus party at Clemson with the theme being "Cripmas". Basically, a dress up theme party where people dress up as gang members.

When I was in school, we had a 'white trash' party at our frat. Everyone dressed up as redneck hillbillies. Don't know if anyone was offended, don't really care.

Sounds like the college cares about their image and doesn't approve of this kind of attention. This isn't the first time students have been suspended for doing stupid things in college.
