generational thing. its almost unanimous 35 and under that the grand jury decision in ny was a joke.

the only ones supporting that white cop in ny are conservative whites, predominantly conservative white males who naturally dislike people anyway.

one of the whites in this thread who supported the white cop who killed garner has been on record saying they don't like black people and boasts about living in some township with no non whites. whites like that are the ones who see any black getting killed as being fine.

thankfully the white youth didn't buy in.

Sadly they are still picking the wrong fight and it's only going to hurt the cause. Sadly I think that is the goal of many. Not to bring people together in an understandable goal but rather to further drive people apart.

Would I protest for Garner? Yes. For Brown? No, even though I can see the correlation you have to present something many can agree on.

Right here in this thread is an excellent example of an attempt to drive a wedge between people as opposed to bring them together.

It's sad really.

I have no issues with those who wish to assemble in peaceful protest. Where I take issue is those with alterior motives using it as an excuse to loot and riot, or the race baiters use it as an excuse to divide everyone.

Blocking bridges and roads is dangerous.

How can fire and police vehicles get to emergencies???

I have protested........I protested in DC.......but, we were off the road in a field.

Wow, you left your all white little enclave and ventured into DC, a city that is more than 50% black? You must have been terrified the whole time.

As for the OP, students have been involved in protests against what they believe is injustice since the mid-60s. For a while there it seemed like the younger generations were apathetic and uninvolved, but these last few years have awakened them. I'm thrilled to see such awareness and interest in the direction their country is moving alive and well in this generation. I applaud their efforts.

It's worth a look at the pictures, just for entertainment value. I hadn't realized just how stupid this generation has become. I'm beginning to understand the constant lowering of standards and the "normalizing" of the SATs for college admission these days. But I hadn't realized that things had gotten quite this foolish and childish.
It's not just this generation, I've seen many older people (40+) in these as well. It is unbelievable the lack of common sense and the overly emotional thinking that the majority society suffers from .

I also was a human shield in Atlanta GA. during the abortion clinic bombings.

I am pro-choice.

But, in full disclosure.......I was a fetus at one time.

It's fitting, holding a "die in". Most of these people -- not just kids, but adults too -- seem to have nothing better to do with their time. Most of them don't have jobs, because, you know... that would require work and effort. So let's get inside their heads a little. They're upset and want to protest, but they of course don't want to be troubled by doing any work.

"Let's go out in public and lay down and take a nap! That will show them!" Good work, guys.

Contributing members of society will continue to ignore them, and at least now we have knowledge of which shopping mall they'll be protesting, so we can just avoid it. I'm fine with that.

I guess if I saw someone....or, many laying in a store/mall.......I would call an ambulance.

Maybe getting an ambulance bill or, two would cure them.

Much to the horror of many parents, students were substantially involved in Civil Rights protests , in the 50's.
