Obama, Biden work phones to save bill.
The White House launched a last-minute blitz Thursday afternoon to rally Democratic support for the $1.1 trillion House spending bill, with President Obama, Vice President Biden and other top officials calling lawmakers on Capitol Hill throughout the afternoon.

Please let me know what makes obama the most liberal lib to ever lib. I'd really like to know.

And why are you spamming every thread with that Hill link?
A) This thread is about Sen. Warren. Please stop trying to throw it off track.
B) Every knows that the president wanted this to pass.
C) His jockeying for this abomination of a bill clearly isn't the actions of a liberal

Feel free to start a thread about the President and his siding with Bohner and the "conservative" Republicans if you want. I'd love to see your special insights on just how liberal Obama is.

Now Warren and some of the same parrots in the media are now justifying a potential shutdown as patriotic and pro-middle class if it were to be over liberal reasons.

How many Democrats have intelligence and integrity to NOT flip flop such egregiously in such a short time?
You have to remember, in the case of Warren, she's not exactly the brightest bulb in the room. No worries though, the parrots in the mainstream media will hold her up as an example this time, while ignoring her words last time.

It should be noted that the last shutdown was not done by Republicans. Republicans in the house passed a finance bill to keep the government open. Harry Reid refused to even bring it to the floor of the senate. I see though that you were duped by the MSM. The old saying "tell the same lie long enough and it becomes the truth" seems true for some.

Exactly Toyman and Obama used his phone (calling Reid) to push this bill through. Don't hold your breath Obamabots, he won't use his pen.

It will be interesting how the liberal media plays this one. It will be even more interesting when the Obamabots follow their cue.

They will do interpretive dance to try to explain this one.

That's just silly. Shutting down the government in a ploy to weaken government is anarchic. Shutting down government to prevent weakening government is not. Not that Warren was advocating shutdown, anyway. But explaining nuance is probably a waste of time.

Umm... There hasn't been a single post defending Obama. We get it, you don't like him but please stop trying to make every thread about Obama.

There's no dancing around the fact that the President was wrong on this and liberals are fuming over it.

Yes a professor that taught at several universities including Harvard Law School is not to bright compared to colleagues like Mitch McConnell.

The republicans not only were responsible for the last time they bragged about it, maybe you should ask Boehner his opinion. He didn't want a shutdown but the right wing nuts sure did. T

he senate didn't vote on the house bill in 2013 you mean the one that defunded the ACA that had been approved years ago, sounds reasonable.

Too funny.

Bunch a whole mess of progressive crap in a bill and the world is coming to an end and babies die, if it doesn't get passed at the last second, so no one can read it.... shutting down 17% of the federal government.
But, when the shoe is on the other foot, she goes to the end of the earth, yapp'n her loose lips to kill the bill and shut it down.

The really funny thing????
I agreed with her about the Wall Street deal.

How ironic.

All we have heard from the left is. '"he repubs won't compromise", "They are obstructionists", etc. etc., etc.

NOW, it is a different tune entirely.

Hypocrisy comes to mind!

How so?

Why won't Republicans just make a spending bill without all-or-nothing demands on it?
