Well spoken and 100% accurate.

Unfortunately, the prison system is primarily a money-maker. Cash cow. As long as they can rake in profits by letting one rapist go to make room for three nonviolent "drug offenders" to squeeze in, they will.

There is something seriously wrong with that!

Tribe in Flandreau, SD considers legalizing.

Flandreau area residents prepare for legal marijuana

I hope they do. It should be legalized and taxed/regulated like alcohol. I live only 25 miles away from this town. It would draw on tourist dollars from nearby Brookings, Sioux Falls, Pipestone, Marshall, and perhaps draw revenue from Grand Falls Casino but they really need to update that old run down casino "Royal River" that they have there.

They have a chance to make some big cash to allow them to renovate and expand that casino and be ahead of the curve before more states or tribes legalize. Once their foot is in the door with legalization and the sky doesn't fall and people aren't crashing and killing one another off drugged driving it will be hard for the politicians to take it back away again.

Huh?

Despite our varying opinions on weed, one fact remains: With the exception of frat boys, people have a beer with pizza, wine with pasta at an Italian restaurant, and a drink after work. People who blow grass recreationally do it to get stoned.

And an ever-increasing number of studies are revealing that there's nothing "healthy" about it.

The DOJ should keep it's mouth shut.
I don't think they should have any say in it in as far as Tribes are concerned.

I also think they should not be saying that others can violate the current Law (one I disagree with).

After all, we are the protected class(Cherokee)

LOL! Only if you choose to live in the land of crumbs and poverty on the reservations.
Let the government take care of us all and we too will live like we are all on a reservation.

How is doing what you choose on what is supposed to be sovereign territory a 'special' privilege?

Or did you just sense an opportunity for yet another baseless whine about this administration?
