The UN is the world's police, not the US. That's why they have peacekeeping forces. Also, the US, Russia, and the EU have agreements for cooperation in combating terrorists. It's a global issue. Also, the Russian FSB shares information with the CIA and other intelligence services to prevent terrorist attacks.
Trust me, there have been recent and serious terror attacks in Russia too. Especially last New Years at the train station and in the bus in Volgograd. And problems in Chechnya.

Btw, the FSB warned the CIA about the Tsarnaev brothers before the Boston Marathon bombing. My question - why didn't the US listen?

Gosh! Too much lies, hypocrisy and double standards from the western news outlet also!

Yes, it sounds very strange and incredibly today. But let's talk about it in a few months.
Turkey will get destabilization and chaos very soon. (The US already starts working for it). And so called "free press" will conjointly blame Erdogan by the command of their masters.
I wouldn't put it past our government to foment something like that.

Iraq isn't on the US border. If Mexico was invaded by another country, the US would be all over that. Congress already sent guns to the drug cartels, remember?

Please Nita, look at the people being killed in the Middle East; the majority are civilians-women and children. You think this helps to stop "terrorism"? Why not just focus on our borders and heed warnings from other countries (like 9/11, the Boston Bombing) when necessary? I fail to see how blowing things up in other countries will cause there to be fewer terrorists. If anything it will cause more terrorists and more violence and unrest.

Maybe that is the goal with all of these wars?

One of the most powerful political ads I have ever seen IMO:

Yeah thats a great add. But if it is Texas it happened too, I could drive around it. But joking aside it would suck.
I get the connection with Crimea and Ukraine. We don't belong over there causing trouble.

The US shouldn't have lied to Russia in the 90s. The US promised not to expand NATO past East Germany but instead they expanded NATO around all the Eastern Bloc states and then built bases around Central Asia and the Caucasus when Russia was in turmoil. The Russians from Yeltsin onward continuously warned the US against expanding into the former Soviet territories but were ignored.

The West in the 90s continuously screwed the Russians over and over again. Initially the Russians followed Western advisers and restructure its government into a Federation and engaged in mass privatization. The privatization led to the massive growth of criminal syndicates and brought corrupt oligarchs to power. Federalism led to the rise of out of control governors who ignored Moscow and sold off resources to foreign corporations without the consent of the central government. There is a good reason why Russia is skeptical of the West and so hostile towards it and that is because the West took advantage of them when they were at their weakest. Ukraine is blow back and the Russians warned the West not to meddle in Ukrainian affairs for the past two decades.

Nevertheless, I'll imagine...there would be more American Indians because the U.S. Military would not have slaughtered them...There would be more Japanese if it were not for the U.S. Military dropping TWO nuclear bombs on them...there would be more Vietnamese had the U.S. military not bombed the crap out of them...oh, the U.S. Military also got 50,000 its own killed in the process. Ummm...what else...let me see.., oh, there would be more Iraqi innocent women and children living had the U.S. Military not dropped drones on them. And, finally, there would probably be about 20 more American journalist living with their heads intact, had the U.S military not gone over that part of the world invading villages and getting in the middle other countries internal conflicts...in the name of 9-11.
He wasn't lying to himself like you are. If the US packed it's bags and became completely isolationist the world would go to ****.

*Japan would become a nuclear power to keep China at bay...that is if China doesn't nuke Japan first. The conflict over the south china sea would lead to a giant war shortly in Asia between China and it's neighbors rather quickly.

*North Korea would invade South Korea and about 10 million people would die within hours since Seoul is right there by the border and the civilians there would be caught in the crossfire.

*The middle east would fall apart almost instantly. Israel and several middle eastern countries would be dropping nukes on each other. Oil production would slow down if not cease altogether plunging the entire world into a depression.

*Russia would invade countries that were once part of the Soviet Union trying to reclaim them which would lead to multiple wars and millions dead before it was over.

*Since the US Navy would no longer keep the seas and oceans in the world open you will see a breakdown of international trade due to piracy and governments trying to enforce there own agendas on international trade causing it to collapse.

So to put it bluntly the world would be ****** without the US military.

That doesn't necessarily make them the enemy.
