Here's your sign
Actually do yourself a favor and step away from the liberalism.

As you go through pages and pages of posts you'll see how liberals aren't anywhere near as tolerant as you preach others to be and this thread is a prime example.

No stereotype at all. Reality.

Come on, find me a tolerant modern liberal. There are none.

Uh; are Black or "Hispanic" conservatives racist? Tho Leander Perez WAS racist against Black people back in the day and, if he was alive in 2014, he'd probably have some nasty things to say about "brown" Latinos and not just la raza.

I hate to say this but, you're on to something there in 2014. A 1964 liberal would be a mild conservative now.

Wow. They kicked him off the paper for that?

Because someone felt "threatened"?

That's scary.

Lefties always have to point the finger somewhere else, can never allow the spotlight to be on what they don't want others to see.

If you will check your sources, you will find that Buckley renounced racism in the mid 60's and fought against racism from that point on. He was, in fact, one of the key supporters for establishing Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

But thanks for playing.

Orwellian. No other word to accurately describe this nonsense.

As satire goes, it was a decently funny poke at how people seek out ways to feel oppressed, using a legitimately "oppressed" group. And I use "oppressed" like any of the official groupings in the Church of Victimology use it, where lack of sufficient concession, favor, acquiescence and genuflecting is considered overt oppression. In most college lecture halls, the left handed desks (if they exist at all) are always on the left side of the room. That's stigmatizing, same as making a specific group sit at the back of the bus. Right-handed has the word "right" meaning correct, while left-handed does indeed use the word "left" which as the author points out came from the Latin for sinister/evil, but is also old English for weak or foolish (luft)

Can openers, pencil sharpeners, gear shift in an American manual transmission, you name it, and the world oppresses the crap out left-handed (hereafter referred to as "best-handed" to convey the pride in the community) people and does so shamelessly. Mahmood is right. We'll never be equal as long as it continues.
