Ok, now we have a lot of cases where the cops exceeded the necessary powers, most likely.
The countries with the lowest crime rates also have the lowest armed policeman per capita. I've seen neighborhoods where it is unnecessary to have armed police, and neighborhoods where armed police seem practical. In America, it seems every police officer has a gun.
Should every cop be armed by a gun, according the recent events?

Actually the countries with the lowest crime rates suffer the least multiculturalist BS.

But yes, Simon, cops should not have guns and I vote to make you the first unarmed police officer in East Saint Louis where your obvious love of humanity will outshine any bad will.

Probably, but if they can yell real loud or convey empathy quickly, then maybe not....

Yes. Let's arm them with slingshots instead.

why not go back to the "good old days" and arm them with a nightstick or billy club or small baseball bat?
Let the CITIZENS be armed, and allow the police only clubs!

right. that will work.
NOT!

By the way, don't you mean "Should every policeman HAVE a gun"??

To be fair the vast majority of ordinary police in Great Britain don't carry guns, they rely on PAVA spray or CS spray, stab proof vests, speedcuffs, expandable 'ASP' Batons, area cars and operational support with taser X26 and Armed Response Vehicles (ARV) or Armed Police Teams. Each ARV is crewed by three officers: one driver, one operator and one navigator. Every officer carries a personal issue Glock 17 self loading pistol and a TASER model X26. On each ARV there are also two MP5 carbines and two G36 assault rifles.

The job is still not easy though, however British society is very different to US Society where guns are far more prevalent.

I think they should be armed with two guns, just in case one fails.

That and get them out of black areas. Since those white power freaks are intent on eradicating black people in this country.
