In any case you have it backwards.... Climate change (melting ice changing the distribution of earth's mass) is causing the poles to shift, pole shift is not causing climate change.

Not at all...natural climate forcings are well known and taken into account by science....The fact is that they cannot account for today's warming climate.

That is not what the article says....It says that polar bear populations have gone through PERIODS of decline for the last million years....In other words the population has declined, and rebounded several times.....Humans have experienced the same thing, as a matter of fact humans were almost wiped out 70,000 years ago.

Well yes. The population declines - where there is a decline in the sea-ice.
Like any of the proposals to reduce CO2 emissions will accomplish a damn thing. Is there a model that shows what will happen to the Earth with or without the US taxing CO2 emissions? If there is I ain't seen it.
