While I've never been to Australia, my parents went there twice, and I've met several who have come here.

There are lots of guns in Australia. The big population centers are all on the coasts, and the interior of the continent is relatively un-inhabited in comparison. But the outback is full of folks who hunt and use guns.

The Aussies are a lot more like us than the Brits are. All the ones I've met felt right at home here in our western states.
