With so many religious celebrations occurring in this month, does the mere mention of December invoke ire to sensitive non-believers? How could this be fixed? Can't call it the "Twelfth or Twelve" because that number holds dear to the Christian New Testament. "335" (days since Jan 1) might offend those who are morbidly obese. "Holiday" means time away, so calling December "Holiday Month" offends those who work these 31 days. America's Co./Inc./LLCs would love "Shopping Month."

If this month needs changing, it's because the number is all wrong: Deca is 10! I'd like to see Dodecember and would rally on whatever offense agenda available to see it changed.

It's super offensive to me because I like it when it is 90 degrees outside. I think it's about 50 right now...

You know how I fix this non issue? I talk about anything I want how I want and if you happen to over hear my conversation and you are offended that is purely your issue and not mine.

I say Merry Christmas and have said Merry Christmas my entire life so if the "mere mention of December" invokes ire to non believers they should seek professional therapy or learn to accept the fact that the world does not revolve around them and sometimes they just have to deal with things and move on.

I can agree with this. I'm not religious by any means and I say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays" interchangeably with everyone. And it doesn't bother me if they say one or the other to me.

[when did the holidays become so serious?]

Your missing out on the great things one can (selfishly) get using PC. Example I'm surprised hasn't been used yet: to be selected from astronaut training school for a space mission, a sure fire way would be let the media know they are openly gay. We're currently seeing a nation embracing thug culture using the Black community. It doesn't matter who these activists hurt, they are getting their way, and I want a numerically correct end of the year!
