So, despite the fact that 99% of the black people in this thread have stated that WE do not view Al Sharpton as OUR leader and do not seek out his opinion....the white posters have continued to give him that title and privilege.
I find it to be just so very strange. Its like (some) white people are desperate to have Al Sharpton as a figurehead. The only people that I know who quote and follow the doings of Al Sharpton are white people. White people are responsible for Al Sharpton remaining relevant. You guys CONSTANTLY seek him out. I do not know a single black person that could quote Al Sharpton or know his comings and goings....but you can bet that white people (especially those on C-D) most certainly can.

The pattern we're all noticing is how few blacks will actually CONDEMN and distance themselves from this man. You're like the "moderate" Muslims who say the extremists don't represent the vast majority of Muslims, but precious few will actually speak out against them and embrace AMERICAN principles.

Barack Obama got less than a percent of the poll--only 81 out of 1000 blacks felt like Barack Obama speaks for them,
So you're talking about someone who "speaks for" someone who "speaks for" almost nobody.
