Instead of trying to keep up with the joneses? By looking at people poorer than themselves it should boost their ego instead of hurting them like comparing themselves to their peers.
I always do this and as a result I'm proud of my wealth. It keeps me investing instead of spending so I can be even better off in comparison.

Please move this to the economics section I meant to post it there.

I do that occasionally too. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when I realize I have a net worth that equals most of them combined.

Wow, a superiority complex.

I, too shop at Walmart regularly.

Why? I refuse to pay more money for the same thing from somewhere else.

What's so bad about having in pride in your accomplishments? How is it not healthier than feeling inadequate by comparing to your peers? Seems healthier to me since you associate yourself with positive feelings.

*SIGH*

You need others to validate your standing in the world?

This is how I know that you're broke. You don't have any wealth. If you did, you would've never made this thread.

I may as well add you to the list of CD posters (aka "posers") that claim to be rich/ have wealth and other nonsense.

I'm proud of my accomplishments. But it does not warrant a superiority complex.

I used to try to keep up with the Joneses but then I grew up.

Besides,. where I live the Joneses are impossible to keep up with so it's senseless anyways
