That request has been denied. That's good, I do not agree with raising a failing grade to a C grade simply because of recent events. Do the work involved to get that C grade.
While the UNC story is true, it's (athletes getting academic wiggle room) not comparable to this situation at all.
These kids who want the free pass are just trying to get a free ride...
The athletes provide A LOT to a University including an absolutely insane amount of money on athletic competition's ticket sales, merch and tv revenue...

It was 2 decades of giving out free passes to anyone involved in the center for African American studies at UNC. It's very comparable to this situation in in the context given.
