There was recently a thread here about a college president needing to apologize for saying that all lives matter instead of black lives matter.
I think all lives matter. I would have to read the context of the story. Many are not happy with the murder of police officers. Unfortunately the whole story of murder has never ever been pretty. That's why we need to make sure that we make the changes that will bring about better relationships. We can't continue like we have done in the past.
When the police begin to respect the lives of the citizens, as well as their rights then they will in turn receive the respect they have earned. As it is right now... you reap what you sow. They have no one to blame but themselves.

In the final analysis, I have to agree with this. I thought it was completely unfair that officer Darren Wilson was pilloried for fighting back against a guy who tried to snatch his gun. But then again we live in a time when SWAT teams abound, and police shoot woodcarvers and face no consequence.
Law enforcement, you made your bed...lie in it.
