Why do you say that? You are parroting Leftist propaganda.

Fox is the number one cable news channel for a reason. Get a clue.

I hope you enjoy your experience with DirectTV.

However, you and everyone should know that these temporary channel droppings are a fact of life with all of the pay TV vendors. The content providers, such as FOX, Turner, ESPN, etc, have been jacking up the prices of their TV channels sky-high to the cable providers, who for a number of years passed them straight on to us.

Truth is, the one thing that pisses people off more than having these channels temporarily cut off is having their bills routinely jacked up by substantial margins. And these temporary outages are the only way for the pay tv providers to hold the line with the content providers.

Unfortunately, DISH is the small guy on the block, so the content providers have been trying to impose their rate hikes on DISH first, in order to establish a precedent for the other pay TV companies. DISH has been trying to maintain some pricing restraint here, which if you think about it, is a good thing.

Don't be surprised when you experience these same temporary outages at DirecTV (or Comcast, Uverse, etc). It is not a phenomenon that is exclusive to DISH at all.

And would you rather have your rates jacked up substantially every year? That is the alternative, whether you like it or not.

Dish has failed to come to a contract agreement with Fox. Therefor Fox News and Fox Business are not currently available on Dish.

What man's "irrational opinion?" Greg Gutfeld? Why is he "irrational?" He is more rational than someone like Bill Maher or the other dolts on the lamestream networks where Liberals get their "news," who are nothing but comedians and Democrat Party operatives. How rational is that?

Yes... it's the same reason as to why ESPN is the number one cable sports channel. It's entertaining. There's nothing wrong with watching FOX for entertainment. However, if you're watching it for news, you're the one who needs a clue.

American news reporting SUCKS period. None of them are worth watching. If you want to know what is going on in the USA watch BBC or CBC, AJE is not too bad either.

Good move......we had Direct TV and went to Dish one year because of a NHL
dispute.

We hated it.

As soon as the dispute was stilled we paid to get out of our contract with Dish and went back to Direct TV.....to stay.

Yeah I have Dish and they lost CBS I think for a while and other channels and then regained them.

I think this issue with fox has to do with either Dish networks financial situation or them trying to renegotiate, what Dish network views as, more favorable deals with content providers.

My guess is fox will be back on dish. This will happen faster if dish loses customers because of a lack of Fox News.

His opinion is irrational.

In terms of the main stream media, there are legit issues with our corporate dominated media, too liberal isn't one of them.

Look believing the main stream media is out to get you as a conservative is an insane belief.

Only listening to self described conservative media like Fox News and talk radio is irrational and ill advised.

All the cable news networks put together can't match something like Real Housewives. They are not very relevant except to their particular fan bases.
