I've never met them, though friends have. My former business partner apparently crossed paths with them many times, as both fished in Alaska, in the same place.

there really are no "radical feminists" just women working to get equality. just where are the radical fems? do they march in the streets? picket? riot? stomp their feet? no. the only real organization for women and equality is NOW and they just go about their business trying to make folks aware of the problems facing women of the world and try to solve the problems. the radical feminist are mostly made up in the minds of men who don't want women to be on equal footing as men. if the shoe fits.....
check out Stop Patriarchy, anti pornography and Maoist feminist organization. These people aren't equal rights activist but ideologues forcing their views on people. They are classic radical feminists.

Andrea Dworkin was a fascinating woman and extremely divisive -- radical, if you will -- but you can't seriously believe that she represents the totality of the equal rights movement, can you? Her goal, in many ways was to create controversy, much the same as the many anonymous posters here on this forum and others who write outrageous things. Her life was also a tragedy, and that very much influenced her activism. I identify as a feminist, but in no way do I accept Dworkin as a role model or in any way as representative of my beliefs about equal rights.

The equal rights movement ended many decades ago. They succeeded in winning what they were after and the battle is done.
What exists now is a political ideology movement pretending to be about rights.
If these so called Feminazis do exist why aren't they screaming about the leggy blond Miss America candidates broadcasting the news on FOX?

She's a think tank board member, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Alan Colmes' sister-in-law. She published 2 books about Nixon. She's 46. A little old for Miss America.
Lis Wiehl has a Juris Doctor from Harvard. When she's not on Fox, she's an Adjunct Professor at NY Law School and once was an associate professor at University of Washington Law School. She was also a principal deputy chief minority investigative counsel for the United States House of Representatives, Committee on Judiciary and she worked as a litigation associate for a private law firm. She's written 5 best selling books. She's 53. A little old for Miss America.
Greta Van Susteren got her Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law School and was an adjunct professor there as well. She was a trial attorney who has argued cases in federal appellate courts and state supreme courts. She worked at CNN as a legal analyst and as the host of her own show before coming to Fox News. She founded an orphanage and school in Haiti and is part owner of a Long Island restaurant. She's 60 and beyond Miss America.
Gretchen Carlson was a Miss Minnesota and a Miss America so you got one right. Interestingly, her childhood nanny was Michelle Bachmann. Remember that the next time you play Trivia. She's 48.
I don't know what blondes are on in the morning as I don't watch Fox News or any other TV show in the morning but as you can see from the above, the Fox News blondes are not fluffy and I'm sure the brunettes are just as impressive.

Such compensation is never based on "hours". It is based on what those create the movies think the person is worth to the success of the venture.
Could they cast someone other than Jennifer and have the series succeed? She IS the face of the entire franchise. Sad to say, it's hypocrisy beyond belief. I did go see the first movie. If I ever watch the rest, it'll be because of her talents (no, not her looks). I thought she embodied the character they wanted to portray.

She may have been paid less to star in the Hunger Games movies, but those films helped make her a household name. In a similar story, Robert Downey Jr. was paid less to star in the first Iron Man (1 million) than Terrence Howard was (5 million). That film remade Robert Downey Jr.'s career. He was a washed up has-been before that movie. Now he's a massive star.

At that point in her career, she was probably ecstatic to get a starring role in a film based on a known book series. When people bring their intellect to bear on the DETAILS of what would appear to be the causes of and evidence of what feminists today protest, their arguments become invalid.
The point of all this, is that the modern feminist movement is NOT created by "right wing media". It is, in fact, a radical movement, in and of itself, which is self justified by a lot of hazy, less than honest noise.
Feminists would have served their cause (their credibility) far better if they had actually promoted what they originally claimed to. Palin claims to be a feminist, btw. Having a life story of purely blue collar background and NO political dynasty to being governor would be THE feminist "Cinderella story" - an example of precisely what feminism is supposedly to accomplish - the removal of barriers in society to the individual aspirations - not just for women, but breaking down barriers to the boundaries of imagined classes and segments. Palin is proof, actually, of the success of equal rights.
You don't have to like her politics or accent. Or agree with her policies as governor to celebrate the very model of an empowered woman.
But ideology superseded the so-called goals and purpose. And you don't have to be "right wing" to understand that or recognize it. Just honest.
