While I'm sorry the young couple were bumped from their wedding plans in favor of the president's plans, I'm sure Obama didn't do it on purpose. From what I understand, no one can be told a president is coming to their facility so can't inform the people who would be impacted.
At least the couple will have a great story to tell their kids!
Did you read the article, they went to another location that had an equally beautiful view of the ocean, what's the problem. They seem happy with the outcome.
To your point, yes, all's well that ends well. Who wouldn't enjoy getting a call from the President and being able to tell your friends/family about that for generations to come.
That being said however, it does say something about a person (no matter who he/she is) when you're previously scheduled wedding (certainly one of the most important event of your life) venue gets pulled out from under you at the last minute so someone else can play a casual game of golf ?? A game he'll probably not even remember a few weeks from now.
Apparently Obama didn't know about this important fact ahead of time, shame on whoever did know and cancelled the wedding party to let him golf without even mentioning it. If I were the President, I think my second call would be to whomever knew about the wedding and didn't even mention it to the person requesting the game....wherever that happened along the chain of events. I would have a real struggle to keep that conversation diplomatic !
Anyone that's planned a wedding (as my wife and I have) can well imagine how much turmoil and angst this would have caused when your venue is pulled out from under you last minute.

It's good to be king, if just for a while
To be there in velvet, yeah, to give 'em a smile
It's good to get high and never come down
It's good to be king of your own little town.

I no longer have any positive regard for this person. None whatsoever. First he claims the beach as private. Now he bumps a wedding venue so he can play golf.
Lets say Obama's daughter was getting married there.. and you wanted to play golf... would Obama's daughter have to move her wedding to another spot???.. NO,, this is called black president privilege. It comes in all colors..
What kind of people marry on a golf course, anyway?
