I have to believe in it's original intent, with us being a union of States coming together, the US Constitution, chains down the centralized government, in just what they can and cannot force upon the states. If states don't like it, they must petition, that it is not constitutional to do.

How did groups of people by-passing the States, get special privileges from the federal government, that not every individual receives?

Should the federal government, tax the states for their participation in the union of states, or the people based upon their individual income?

The federal government was set up to treat all states equally, not pick & choose groups of people to be winners and losers in the government play for votes.
Taking State legislature representation away from the US Senate and giving it to big money lobbying special interests, has corporations running the show in DC, not the states themselves.

Were not the "people", to the centralized government intent that it was created, the individual States themselves?
If not, why the need for each state to have it own Constitution of the people of each individual State and it's own sovereignty?

Why would it take the states legislatures and not the vote of the individual people, to change the constitution?

Effecting the state as a whole with 50 individual states. Laws towards the states from the federal government, but not laws against the peoples freedom, or picking certain people to have special privileges from the government, not everyone gets.

The Federalist won the Constitution ratification so no, they intended for a stronger federal government not a weaker one.

Articles of Confederation is long dead... not to be confused with US Constitution which shifted primary governance responsibilities towards a central government. There is a recognition of value of local governance, however, something which even states fail to recognize and respect, and believe that all powers either lie with the central government, or with them.

Is this about anything specific or just a generalized rant? What groups of people are you referring to that are by-passing the States to get special privileges?

What does taxes from the federal government have to do with anything? Do states and citizens of the US not get representation? What difference does it make if the federal government gets its tax dollars from each state or from each person? Is this just another tax season question?

Which groups of people is the federal government choosing to be the winners and losers?

Senators are elected by the people of each state, not put in place by big money lobbies. Though the old system of letting states select who should be the Senators did give easy access for big money to lobby Senators. Though they did find a way around this system, so it wouldn't matter if Senators were elected or not.

How changes are to be made in the Constitution was written into the Constitution. Not sure why that would be an issue.
