Er, I've said the same thing many times. Obviously you can't stop every idiot but that doesn't mean you throw up your hands and say "We're helpless -- there's nothing anybody can do!"

Take the shooting that's the subject of this thread, as well as all the others I've mentioned. Every single one is easily preventable. We just have to work harder on getting people to practice safe gun storage and use. As you know, I've listed many ways of doing that.
