And yet we have law abiding people like this doing stupid things that cause themselves or others to be harmed.
People do stupid stuff....people are told over and over don't drink and drive...yet what happens?
Or better yet, how many people get tickets for not using a seat belt?

When will the antis stop cherry picking stories such as this and say exactly what you do...
So, your theory is, a law abiding take classes, yet they (the law abiding) now everyone is safe....what about the gangbangers? You know, the real problem?
The kid was practicing "Stand Your Ground", no doubt.
It's too bad that people like you make light of something like this. Remember too, that Zimmerman was under attack and would have been killed by Martin if Martin had been able to get Zimmerman's gun, which he was trying to do.
But you probably thought Martin was just an innocent victim of a racist white guy.

True, and I think it is too easy to get a drivers license in this country, and those caught drunk driving should lose their license and have a hard time getting it back.
No, gangbangers are just your deflection. I am all for police raiding gangs and taking away their guns and arresting those that possess a gun illegally.

I didn't realize you were there, but then again Martin can't give his side of the story of fighting off his attacker, only to be killed by that attacker when he pulled out his gun.

Talk about deflection....you said you wanted a serious conversation about guns and safety....
Yet you call gangbangers a deflection? Seems someone needs to open their eyes....
all he will have to do is ask about his mom and any kid would ask. his friends can also tell him as well as google. you really think a kid could shoot his mother dead at 2, go through life and never realize it.
It's not cute to reword what someone else said.
I said he won't REMEMBER it. I didn't say he won't know it. It won't be any more traumatizing for him than a child whose mother died because of his birth. He will have no memory of what he did.
Same could be said about Republicans and their supporters. I don't see Republicans calling for diversifying neighborhoods to help reduce crime. Nor do I hear any right wingers proposing any solutions beyond do nothing.
You want to introduce "easy targets" into ghettos? Good idea.
