Do you automatically think "they're an AA hire"?

I can't help watching MTP this morning in his section on the women in charge of Washington but think that they're in charge for the basic fact of the color of their skin.

No.. I don't automatically think that. If I see an Asian in charge, I think "okay.. he/she must have the qualifications it takes to get this position." If I see an African American in a position of power, I think the same damn thing. They must have the skills.. otherwise, not many companies/organizations will put someone into authority.

Race has nothing to do with it to me.

No but I do question the thinking of many thread starters today.

When I call customer service places if a get a AA on the phone I listen for a minute......then I hang up and call back if I think they can not help.

That is the only time I would talk to a AA.

One of the three is white.

One of the three, the Mayor, was elected by the people.

I don't automatically think AA. That seems to be the purview of some unqualified/ less qualified white men.
